Innovation is key today ! Traditionally structures were designed and then layout drawings were done on AutoCAD. If the structure is modelled in Tekla at the design stage, layout drawings are produced from the Tekla models. The advantage of this is that detail drawings General arrangements and accurate reports are available immediately. This saves time and money for the client.
Heather has been in the structural steel industry since the late 1970’s. After many years on the drawing board she started using StruCAD in 1993 and then went on to use Tekla in 2012.
Today she mentors young women teaching them about structural steel layout and detailing.
